We believe that every client arrives at the CLC with their own personal challenges and educational goals. From kindergarten through adulthood, our students are given the assistance they need in a patient, caring environment.

We’re the perfect solution for students who need a little extra help overcoming obstacles to those with learning differences. Students with various learning challenges such asdyslexia, ADHD, language-based learning disabilities, non-verbal learning disabilities, and executive function difficulties come to us for support. Our educators are certified and experienced with postgraduate degrees in special ed, reading and math.

There are 4 main areas we provide services for:

Your First Step at the CLC: Educational Evaluations

We believe that early intervention is vital to help a child succeed in school as well as the rest of their life which is why CLC offers educational assessments that can help uncover a learning difficulty or effective learning style. Our assessments can aid in changing a student’s experience of life by making it fun and easy for them to learn where previously they had a hard time.

We offer a free of charge consultation with the CLC director for all new clients which includes a review of past exams and results. Once we discover a student’s strengths and weaknesses, we can deliver a personalized education plan just for them.

Post-evaluation, we review a testing report with each student and their parent that clarifies areas that need assistance and which of our programs we feel will be most beneficial.

Our Hamilton Reading Tutoring Program

Learning to read is often one of the toughest things for a young student to accomplish. We help foster improved literacy skills in Hamilton MA thanks to our selection of accredited programs that are proven to improve reading. All of them can address conditions that make reading challenging for students such as dyslexia. Our reading programs include:

  • Orton-Gillingham

This is a fantastic choice for clients who have a difficult time matching sounds with associated letters and often pause when trying to get through a sentence. It’s a phonetically based program that shows students the basic building blocks of the English language and then builds from there.

  • Wilson Reading System

This 12-step program is ideal for students who have a challenging time with spelling and reading individual words when they’re not being used in a sentence. The steps go beyond the phonics of the Orton-Gillingham program and people old on to what they learn from constant repetition. The program is effective because students review the current reading and writing concepts taught to make sure they can retain them before the educator advances them to the next level.

  • About The Lindamood Phoneme Sequencing™ Program

Also called LiPS, this is a powerful phonetic program for students who can’t process distinct sounds, or phonemes, within spoken words. It shows students how proper use of the lips, tongue, and mouth create the basics of letters and words.

  • Nancibell® Visualizing & Verbalizing® Program

This program helps students develop mental imagery as they hear and read words. tudents in this program have the ability to succeed across numerous courses of study before reading and writing.

  • We Help Hamilton Students with Math Tutoring

From elementary math through advanced concepts such as calculus, we help students be their best at the subject through various of teaching approaches. Our unique math programs help students at all levels “see” solutions to solve problems. We show students how writing down math formulas and solutions helps them retain what they’ve learned.

Children learn math better when they see and “touch” numbers, which is the key reason why we use the TouchMath program to assist them to add, subtract, and multiply numerals.
