Support Services

Support services for parents and teachers are an important element of our holistic approach to helping each student. Parents of children struggling with academics sometimes feel uncertain or even overwhelmed, and it is important for them to have a source of support and reliable information. CLC offers parents expert support and information in two ways—through private consultation, and through our Discuss & Discover workshop series.
Workshops are provided on a monthly basis during the academic year at both of our Learning Center locations. We also offer free parent presentations for Special Education Parent Advisory Councils.
During parent consultations, we provide information about our programs and referrals for special needs services. We can also discuss a variety of comprehensive educational evaluations if needed.
We further provide school consultations at the request of a parent, including attendance at IEP or team meetings, to determine the most appropriate services for the student.
