Multisensory phonics-based methods are essential for those students, estimated at 15 to 20% of the school population, who have difficulty with traditional whole language reading instruction.

We provide writing and grammar instruction to fit the individual needs of each student. Lessons are designed to teach all levels of writing from the fundamentals of sentence construction to paragraph development to essay writing.

We provide individualized instruction for children and adults to develop and improve math skills. Much of what we do is driven by the student’s math curriculum. Our philosophy is to move from concrete to representational to abstract.

Commonwealth Learning Center’s approach to supporting executive function is to identify and target specific deficits, focusing on building essential skills needed to navigate through academics and everyday life.

Our centers prepare students for college and independent school admissions exams as well as the Massachusetts Comprehensive Assessment System (MCAS) and General Educational Development (GED) tests. Our instructors are specialists in the necessary subject matter and help students build skills and boost confidence.

Commonwealth Learning Center offers educational evaluations for individuals in grades 1-12 using the highest regarded standardized tests to assess how your child is performing in the academic areas of literacy, math, and written expression.
