Support Services
Support services for parents and teachers are an important element of our holistic approach to helping each student. Parents of children struggling with academics sometimes feel uncertain or even overwhelmed, and it is important for them to have a source of support and reliable information. CLC offers parents expert support and information in two ways – through private consultation, and through workshops.
Workshops are provided at our Needham location and at various off-site locations. Our Professional Training Institute also offers free parent presentations for Special Education Parent Advisory Councils.
During parent consultations, we provide information about our programs and referrals for special needs services. We can also discuss a variety of comprehensive educational, psychological, and speech and language evaluations if needed.
We further provide school consultations at the request of a parent, including attendance at IEP or team meetings, to determine the most appropriate services for the student.
