An assessment has the ability to change a student’s life. Through the discovery of a learning difficulty or an effective learning style, evaluations teach us how to approach education which opens endless doors for the future.
“[Our daughter] was once called the ‘student who fell between the cracks.’ She was above average in some areas and struggling in others, but her successful areas kept her from receiving extra help. With each year, her struggle became greater and her frustration level grew. She felt no one could explain or understand [her] difficulties. Your evaluation was so on target for what we had been seeing at home and what our daughter had been experiencing… It has been a pleasure for us to watch her blossom.”
– Parents of a CLC student
“[My husband and I were] completely at a loss with our son’s failure to achieve and the frustration we felt when his teachers constantly told us how bright he was… if it weren’t for the in-depth testing you did and the interest you showed, we would still be tearing the hair from our heads… we know that it was your ability to pinpoint and define the roots of his problems and difficulties, combined with his wonderful incisive teacher from CLC, that is the real reason he has [found] success. [We] are pleased that our son’s self-esteem has improved so dramatically along with a corresponding improvement in his school work.”
– Parents of a 9th grade CLC student
“Your evaluation was on target for what we had been seeing at home, and what our daughter had been experiencing for the last four years. It has been a pleasure to watch her blossom. Her self esteem is returning.”- Parent of a CLC Student

“I have to tell you what a joy it was to see [my daughter] bound through the door last Friday announcing with such pride that she got an A+ and festooned with all kinds of stickers from her CLC teacher. She was ecstatic. We are so thankful for the amazing support Commonwealth Learning Center provides.”- Parent of a 1st grade student
“My son actually looks forward to his tutorials. I have to drag him away!”- Parent of a Kindergarten student
“I wanted to let you know that we got [my son’s] MCAS scores from the spring. His English language arts score went from 238 in 3rd grade to 250 in the spring. He improved from Needs Improvement to High Proficient. I know that his improvement is attributable to the work you did with him last year. He really loved working with you and it obviously made a big difference for him. Thank you!”- Parent of a 4th grade student
“At the beginning of [my daughter’s] senior year, I saw personal growth in independent study skills and an increase in autonomy. Now she does her homework without us having to prod or pressure her. A joy!”- Parent of a high school senior
“I was most impressed that [my daughter] did not simply practice reading but came home telling me ‘how to read.’ She proudly named all the steps to decode new words. ‘Guess what page I’m on now!?’ has become a standard question in my house.”- Parent of a CLC student
“I’d just like to thank you and the Commonwealth Learning Center for enriching my middle school and high school experience. English has always been a difficult subject for me, especially writing; however, with your help, I believe my writing skills have improved tremendously over the years.”- Student at CLC
