Break Free: Managing Your Child’s Anxiety—And Your Own
Anxiety can be frustrating, overwhelming, and scary. For people who have never dealt with it personally, it can also be confusing. “Just put it out of your mind.” “You’re worried about that?” “Don’t worry about it.” This well-meaning advice often only serves to make matters worse and puts a strain on already vulnerable relationships.
During this brave new world of the Covid-19 pandemic, anxiety is on the rise, and many who have never dealt with this affliction before are facing it for the first time. When everything around you becomes daunting and unpredictable, feeling a loss of control over one more thing can be the straw to break the camel’s back. If only you could just make your anxiety—or your child’s—disappear. Unfortunately, that’s not how it works.
You can’t eliminate anxiety, but you can learn to manage it. Neuroeducator Noel Foy, author of ABC Worry Free, will join us virtually on Thursday, June 11, at 7pm EST for a free interactive workshop on how to face anxiety-provoking thoughts and situations using her “ABC Strategy.” Attendees will come away with:
- An understanding of what anxiety wants vs. what it needs
- Communication do’s and don’ts
- Actionable strategies to use in “real time” to manage anxiety
Due to the participatory nature of this seminar, registration is limited and first-come, first-served. Don’t miss out—secure your spot today!
