OUR INSTRUCTIONAL PROGRAMS

We design each student's program individually to ensure his or her success. We have found that many students suffer from difficulty with the curriculum's presentation rather than from actual learning difficulty. These individuals can rapidly progress when we present material in a new way and at an appropriate rate. Many students need a multisensory approach that uses their auditory, visual, tactile and kinesthetic senses, i.e., their ears, eyes, touch, and movement. Others learn best through association, and for these students, we provide mnemonic clues to help them remember. Some students learn more easily when they can "figure it out for themselves," and for these students we teach reasoning strategies and techniques. Our highly skilled teachers continually adjust the teaching style to suit the learner's needs.

Our policy is to keep abreast of developments in sound educational research. We continuously seek out proven programs for students who struggle to learn from traditional curriculum materials. We also draw on educational technology developments, and provide students with computers and a variety of educational software.
