FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS (FAQ):
How is Commonwealth Learning Center different from other tutoring centers?
Commonwealth Learning Center offers only one-to-one tutoring, while other centers usually offer group tutoring. We use specialized multisensory approaches and tailor lessons for each student, taking into account learning style and academic goals. Our teachers are certified specialists. CLC does not require contracts or commitments. We work with students until their academic goals are achieved.
– Back to the top –Who are your tutors?
We have both full-time and part-time teachers. Our teachers are certified teachers in the areas of special education, reading, or math and are trained in specialized multisensory programs. Most have advanced degrees and all have undergone criminal background checks. Our teachers are able to work with students of all ages and abilities.
– Back to the top –What types of evaluations do you offer?
Commonwealth Learning Center offers psychological, educational, and speech and language evaluations. The evaluation fee includes the testing session, full report, and meeting with the parent/guardian to discuss results. An evaluation is an important first step in determining a child’s academic needs and learning style. If your child already has a school evaluation, no further testing may be necessary. Progress testing for enrolled students is free of charge. Click here to learn more about our assessment services.
